Why You Shouldn't Buy
an Elna 6001 Decorators Touch

by Sarah
(Rochester, NY)

How do I hate thee, let me count the ways....

  • Your bobbin thread gets caught in the stitching, when approaching low bobbin thread.

  • You spontaneously turn off and on.

  • Because the machine reverts to a 2.2 straight stitch when the machine is first turned on. No matter what stitch you were using--it suddenly becomes a straight stitch.

  • Your buttonholes are horrible. I ruined a beautiful linen blouse even though I made about 20 test buttonholes.

This machine is just WRETCHED. I sold my beautiful old Viking on e-Bay to buy this piece of crap and I am so sorry.

An acquaintance who owns a fabric store and sells these pieces of trash convinced me to buy it and it is just TRASH TRASH TRASH. Did I mention that it's trash?????

Do not ever buy an Elna. Oh my sweet old Viking, where are you now, my love....
