Bernina Activa 245S model - purchased in 2004

by Florence Salt
(Saskatoon, Sask.)

I have been very happy with my Bernina.

As a quilter for several years, I find the stitch quality excellent and the large attachable quilting table very helpful for larger projects.

One of my favourite features of the Bernina is the clamp-on feet and I have purchased several.

Once they're on, they're ON until you remove them. Not like some other machines that have the snap-on feet; often times they "wiggle" and that affects your sewing.

I can't think of any negatives about the Bernine and am actually considering purchasing a second one for a spare machine to be used on a different level of my house so I don't have to move mine up and downstairs - they are heavy.
